A teen in Fort Myers, Florida was caught having sex with multiple students while in school. According to WFTX, the incident occurred inside a restroom at South Fort Myers High School hours after the school was closed.
School officials said 25 boys locked the door to the main boys restroom while the acts were taking place. Other students who attend the school became aware of the sex acts by watching videos that were posted on Snapchat.
Individuals who spoke with reporters at WFTX said that the girl came from a family with a history of problems. It was reported that the student’s mother was known for promiscuity and failed to properly teach her daughter to follow a different path. But it’s apparent that the female student who was involved has issues that are deeper than sex. A lot of young women suffer from low self-esteem and use sex as a way to feel more accepted by their peers.
According to a report conducted by “Real Girls, Real Pressure: A National Report on the State of Self-Esteem,” 7 out of 10 girls believe they are not good enough when it comes to how they look, their education performance in school, and their relationships with friends and family. As a result, it’s important for those in the community to identify young women who may feel inadequate or suffer from depression. If the female student who attends South Fort Myers High School believed in herself and her future, there is no way that she would allow 25 boys to engage in sex with her on the floor of a high school restroom.
School officials have reportedly punished every student who was involved through suspension and other disciplinary actions. However, the students who were involved will not face criminal charges for participating in the sex act.
