Atlanta-based Van Michael Salon is seeking the assistance of area media and residents in the search for missing employee
A beloved employee of Van Michael Salon’s Sandy Springs location, Sewell has not been seen or heard from since the evening of Sunday, May 29, 2016. He was last seen at his apartment in the Smyrna area of Atlanta.

“We hope the community and Atlanta media will join us in the search for Howard, who has been a reliable and valued member of the Van Michael Salon family for years,” said Michael Council, co-founder of Van Michael Salon. “To say that his disappearance is out of character is an understatement, and we, along with his family and friends, are greatly concerned and urgently seeking information on his whereabouts.”

Sewell is a 35-year-old African American male. He is described as 5’3”, medium build with a tattoo on his arm that reads ‘RIP Flossie.’ He does not have a car and is a frequent user of public transportation in the Cobb Parkway area.

Sewell’s loved ones and co-workers describe him as outgoing, smart and dedicated to his job and family. He is known for his promptness and dependability and has even been voted ‘Most Valuable Player’ of the Sandy Springs salon by his colleagues and management for multiple years.

Colleagues, family and friends have established a reward for any information that leads to Sewell’s whereabouts. Tips and information should be directed to the Cobb County Police Department at 770-499-4618. The open case is filed as #16-053890 regarding his disappearance.
