“The Real” suffered a major upset last month when original co-host Tamar Braxton was abruptly fired from the show. At the time, Braxton noticeably distanced herself from the rest of her former cast mates while they all asserted that they knew nothing about her firing in advance and were shocked by her departure. Loni Love has been the most vocal and claimed that she is intent on getting in touch with Braxton and making sure fans supported her throughout the shocking ordeal. Recently, Love opened up about her relationship with Braxton after the scandal, and what’s going to happen next at “The Real.”

As previously reported, Braxton famously unfollowed most of her cast mates after she was fired and she even hinted on Instagram that she thought they were phony. However, Love defended herself and the rest of the cast and assured that they had nothing to do with Braxton’s firing. Love even claimed that she was trying to get in contact with Braxton to show her support.

“My concern is for Tamar. I am trying to give her some time, but I will not stop calling her, I will not stop trying to get in touch with her. It’s just devastating for all of us, it’s a change and I don’t know why it happened and I don’t want to believe it. She has helped to build this show from the beginning and it was genuine,” Love said at the time.

According to media reports, Love recently opened up, once again, about Braxton and has revealed that, despite her efforts, she and Braxton still aren’t talking.

“No, I haven’t heard from Tamar but I’ve seen her messages and she’s made peace with the show and we really wish her well,” Love said.

Even though Braxton still hasn’t responded to her, Love says that she’s still going to support her former co-host.

“I put out a video in response and I still stand by my comment on that. We’re really going to miss her. She was a great asset to us,” Love said.

Love also spoke about the future of “The Real” and revealed that producers now plan to find a replacement for Braxton.

“We don’t know who they’re going to choose. … More than likely it won’t be a man …,” she said.

Well, we’re interested to see how fans react to the new co-host and also whether or not the show can survive after such a major scandal.
