Our thoughts and prayers continue to go out to Janet Jackson.

As previously reported, the superstar singer-songwriter is facing a serious health crisis. Jackson, 50, is expecting her first child with husband Wissam Al Mana, triggering alarm from both fans and fellow celebrities. In fact, sources close to the pair alleged that the “Together Again” recording artist ballooned to over 250 pounds, placing her at risk of developing gestational diabetes, a condition that increases the risk of pre-eclampsia, depression, and possible Caesarean section.

However, it seems that in the week’s since, the pop star’s condition has improved. “She is doing OK and resting until she is due for her baby,” an insider recently told E! News. Not to worry though, the insider explained, “[Janet] is aware of complications, but as of now doctors say she is OK.”

Until now, many of the details surrounding Jackson’s pregnancy have been kept under wraps. Back in May, a source told the entertainment news outlet that Jackson was in her second trimester, an announcement that came a month after the performer postponed her highly anticipated Unbreakable world tour. Meanwhile, the talented entertainer has always made it clear that she wanted a family of her own, telling Harper’s Bazaar, “I would hope my legacy would be bringing smiles to faces.”

“Happiness with my music. Also, to make babies. I’ve had so many people come up to me and say, ‘My child was conceived by listening to your music,'” she continued.

Now that she’s finally pregnant, (after working with a fertility specialist for quite some time) Jackson’s brother Tito Jackson explained on SiriusXM’s “Andy Cohen Live” that they’re simply “hoping for a healthy baby.”

In the meantime, we’re wishing Jackson (and her little one) much continued health and happiness. Show the couple some love in the comment section below.
