A teenage girl suffered horrendous sexual and physical abuse by family members in Dallas, Texas. According to The Dallas Morning News, the abuse began three years ago when her older brother, Robert Cayald, raped her when she was 14.

The girl was a virgin at the time of the attack and later discovered that she was pregnant. When she told her brother and other family members about her pregnancy, they all conspired to force an abortion. The girl’s cousin, Cecila McDonald, told her husband, Lonnell McDonald, to do whatever it took to force the teenage girl to have an abortion.

The girl told authorities that she was initially given plan-B pills and other pills to force a miscarriage. Eventually, Lonnell stomped on her stomach and beat her for hours until her water broke. When the girl gave birth to a stillborn, her family attempted to burn the stillborn on a grill. But when that didn’t work,  Sharon Jones, the girl’s aunt, gave Cedric Jones $25 to get rid of the baby. Authorities still haven’t found the baby’s remains.

The girl initially didn’t tell anyone with the hopes of forgetting about the ordeal. However, she decided to come forward after two years because she was tired of keeping it a secret.

The girl and her five other siblings moved to Texas from California after the passing of their grandmother. She was initially suppose to stay with another relative and live separate from her brother Robert. But the person who she was initially staying with lied to child services and the girl lived with Cecila McDonald instead.

The case reveals how the girl was failed by every adult that she came in contact with. She currently is 17-years-old and lives with a foster care family.

Lonnell McDonald, 28, faces 99 years in prison and the girl’s cousins Cecila McDonald, 27, Cedric Jones, 28, and aunt Sharon Jones, 46, have been charged with conspiracy to commit capital murder.
