Though it seems like singer Sade, whose real name is Helen Folasade Adu, has been missing in action over the last several years, that hasn’t dissuaded “The Sweetest Taboo” recording artist’s daughter, Mickailia Ila, from emerging from private life.
According to reports, the 20-year-old — who has previously lived quite a private life — is currently transitioning, to a man. In addition, sources close to the celebrity seed claim she suffers from “gender dysphoria,” a condition causing one to feel strongly that they are not the gender they physically appear to be.
What many do not know is that Ila is “openly lesbian,” reports Nigerian entertainment site, Pulse.ng. Meanwhile, Ila’s Instagram feed appears to echo the rumors. Just recently, the daughter of Sade and Bob Morgan, a Jamaican-American musician, used social media to celebrate her transition.
Sade first blew on the scene with her hit track “Smooth Operator.” Over the years, the 57-year-old’s sultry sound has skyrocketed her to icon status, selling 110 million albums worldwide. While Ila didn’t follow in her mother’s footsteps, she appears to be quite the artist. What are your thoughts on Ila’s transition? Sound off in the comment section below.
