Dave Chappell will serve as the first host of “Saturday Night Live” following the presidential election. The comedian will take the “SNL” stage for the first time in his career and be followed by A Tribe Called Quest. With the return of Chappelle to sketch comedy, here are 5 things we all want to see with Dave Chappelle hosting “SNL.”

A critique of the Presidential Election

When Chappelle hits the SNL stage, either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton will be elected as the next U.S. President. Although each politician is tremendously different on the political front, they both make for a good punch line. Expect Chappelle to go hard at both candidates in his opening monolog and skits.

2016 Racial Draft

The racial draft is need of an update. The skit, which was featured on “Chappelle’s Show,” took a shot at how race and culture aren’t always connected. Social media has kept the joke alive with memes and short videos. For instance, a meme recently circulated that featured Lil Wayne, post Black Lives Matter rant,  being traded for the character Tommy from “Power.” Chappelle could probably take things one step further.

The Return of Clayton Bigsby

The character Clayton Bigsby was a blind Black man who was a member of the KKK. The skit poked fun at the ridiculous nature of racism. If we all were blind, would race even matter? This time, Bigsby would be an upset Trump supporter who hates Obama. The blind continues to lead the blind.

After the first Black president

Chappelle once did a hilarious skit about the first Black president years before Barack Obama became a household name. So what happens now that the first Black president came, saw, and conquered?

A masterful performance by A Tribe Called Quest

“Chappelle’s Show” was also known for superior musical guests. Erykah Badu, Mos Def, and Kanye West all graced his stage. It’s only right that A Tribe Called Quest serves as the featured act with Chappelle as host.
