Solange stuns in her first live performance of her hit song “Cranes in the Sky” from her #1 album A Seat at the Table on “Saturday Night Live.” The album launched with 72K equivalent album units earned in the week ending October 6, according to Nielsen Music — a stronger-than-expected start. Of that sum, 46K were in traditional album sales.
This marks the first time Solange has been the musical guest on “SNL.” Her sister Beyonce has had the honor twice before. Beyonce’s first stint as the musical guest was in 2003, and then she returned in 2008.
“Cranes In The Sky” landed on the Billboard charts. It reached number 74 on the Hot 100 chart and number 28 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
