On Wednesday, Nov. 9, President Barack Obama called president-elect Donald Trump to congratulate him, the White House said in a statement.

According to reports, Obama invited the 45th President of the United States to join him at the White House on Thursday, Nov. 10 to discuss the presidential transition, citing a need to plan. “Ensuring a smooth transition of power is one of the top priorities the President identified at the beginning of the year and a meeting with the President-elect is the next step,” the statement reads.

Meanwhile, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest revealed that the President will release another statement Wednesday on “what steps we can take as a country to come together after this hard-fought election season.”

Earnest went on to disclose that Obama also called Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton and “expressed admiration for the strong campaign she waged throughout the country.”

I think everybody’s got to work hard.”

Though Obama seems to be keeping a level head, that was not the case for much of Hollywood. From Brit Jay Sean, J.K. Rowling, and Drake, everyone had an opinion on social media:
