Remy Ma has been itching for a reason to sound off, and Nicki Minaj has finally given her a reason to do so. After Gucci Mane released Make Love featuring Nicki Minaj, fans wondered who Minaj was referring to when she rapped, Oh you the qu-e-e-the queen of this here? One platinum plaque, album flopped, b—-, where? Remy Ma gave us bars back in December that were allegedly aimed at Minaj on PHresher’s “Wait a Minute.” It’s lunch time, she food, I’m Troy Ave with that tool. Crack a b—- with my cellphone, really put her on Facetime, That ghostwriter bout to call her, That lifeline getting shorter, RIP Biggie Smalls, why the f— they ain’t warn her,” she rappedRemy has slid all the cards off the table with a nearly seven-minute diss record aimed a Nicki Minaj titled, ShETHER.”

It’s likely that Remy Ma has had this diss record for a while now. Just 10 short days ago, Remy Ma sent a warning shot about how she handles beef with female rappers and controversy surrounding an alleged beef with Nicki Minaj.

If you look at the history of Remy Ma, whenever I’ve had a problem with any female in the entire game, I will say your name,” Remy said. “I don’t want you thinking about it like, ‘Oh my God,” is she talking about me? You think she’s talking about me?’ I am going to say your government. I’m going to look it up and say your mother’s name, your father’s name, your kids’ name[s]. I want you to know I’m talking about you.”

This comment set the stage for ShETHER. The mixtape artwork features a disfigured barbie doll covered in blood and defines what Remy has thought of Nicki Minaj since her resurgence after being released from jail in August of 2014. While Remy was locked down, she watched as Nicki Minaj wrecked havoc over the rap game for years as the only female artist who was capable of producing hit records and albums.

On ShEther,” Remy dug deep while managing to talk about everything related to Nicki, from her breakup with Meek Mill:

And I saw Meek at All-Star, he told me your a– dropped, He couldn’t f— you for three months because your a– dropped. Meek, Drake, Safaree, I see men in your pants” and perhaps any mention of “man.”

To her relationship with Lil Wayne:

N—– done seen Drake penning, Wayne penning, And since your first boyfriend left, b—- ain’t winning” and “You said you never f— Wayne, how stupid I look, B?”

And Remy even discussed the alleged rape case surrounding Nicki’s younger brother, Jelani:

We call that Jelani, get it? Semen in your pants” and “And I got a few words for the moms of the young Barbz, Guess who supports a child molester? Nicki Minaj, You paid for your brother’s wedding? That’s hella foul, How you spending money to support a pedophile?”

This wasn’t your average-joe type of diss record and Remy waited until the right time to release it. Hip-hop beefs are never a pretty sight as we’ve seen over hip-hop’s storied history. This could potentially be the female version of the Jay Z and Nas beef back in 2001. Stay tuned.
