Three people were arrested Friday in connection with the fire that caused a section of Interstate 85 in Atlanta to collapse, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

The Journal-Constitution identified the three as Basil Eleby, who was charged with criminal damage to property, Sophia Bruner, who was charged with criminal trespass, and Barry Thomas, also charged with criminal trespass.

Local authorities are alleging that the three suspects brought into custody are homeless and were at the scene when the blaze broke out Thursday,

According to Glenn Allen, a spokesman for Georgia’s Office of Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner, Eleby is believed to have started the fire. Allen also speculates there could be more individuals involved as the investigation ramps up.

Although no one was injured, the aftermath has left the city of Atlanta in a transportation crisis leaving many hours behind on their morning commute to work. According to Russell R. McMurry, the commissioner of the Georgia Department of Transportation, it could take months to rebuild. Three northbound and three southbound parts of the highway will need to be replaced.

In a recent report from WXIA, the suspects are currently being held in the Fulton County Jail.
