Angela Simmons and Keshia Knight Pulliam were both celebrity chefs at the fundraiser for plastic surgeon Dr. Wright Jones’ foundation. The party was hosted by Atlanta author and mompreneur Monyetta Shaw and HGTV host Egypt Sherod. The theme of the evening was “Scalpel vs Spatula” and it was a very well attended event put together for a very good cause. The Surgeon’s Touch Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to empowering and inspiring disadvantaged youth with matching their inner and outer beauty through reconstructive plastic surgery for those with acquired and congenital abnormalities.
All funds raised from the event will benefit disadvantaged youth with severe deformities due to life-changing trauma by providing complimentary reconstructive plastic surgery. The best part is all eligible low-income patients suffering from acquired and congenital abnormalities will receive reconstructive surgery from competent plastic surgeons like Dr. Wright and other medical professionals. Each operation is earned through effective community service projects developed by patients and two additional supporters.
The foundation’s aim is to encourage a spirit of giving and positivity within these often heavily burdened communities.
Angela Simmons and Keshia Knight Pulliam along with Dr. Jones and Sr VP for Roc Nation Vinny S used their spatulas to help raise funds for this organization. Philanthropist, hairstylist and salon owner GOCHA, reality TV star of “LA Hair” was definitely in the house spreading love and supporting with those coins.
When it comes to supporting a worthy cause, we can always count on Atlanta City Councilman Kwanza Hall (candidate for mayor of Atlanta). Dr. Jones’ parents and brothers were in attendance as well. Lexus and Belaire champagne were sponsors.
