Actress and body positive advocate RaVal Davis partners with Samsung to reclaim the tech space for body positive men and women. On Friday, Aug. 4, 2017, VIP guests and media were invited into the state of the art Samsung 837 space to celebrate their bodies and engage in an inventive evening of self-care and self-love. They were treated to free massages, hair styling by Dark & Lovely, a custom brow bar and Samsung tablet affirmation stations while watching the sunset over the High Line on the Samsung 837 rooftop space located in New York City’s Meatpacking District.

“Technology and social media, alike, have become a place where our bodies are often shamed and not celebrated. I want to reclaim that space for body positive and curvy women and men. Let’s have a selfie station and celebrate our curves. Let’s have Samsung tablets give people a customized affirmation, ‘You are allowed to take up space.’ Let’s celebrate ourselves and love ourselves and let’s use tech to do it,” says event creator RaVal Davis.
