2. Joseline Hernandez – aka the Puerto Rican Princess has gone through quite a transformation in the six years that we’ve known her from the first season of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.” Initially, audiences were turned off by Joseline’s harsh accent, country fashion and sketchy past. She candidly referenced her hero Stevie J rescuing her from the strip club and was determined not to go back to the club by any means necessary. Joseline was the certified side chick to Stevie J’s baby mama and she wasn’t afraid to acknowledge her role. As a result audiences were disgusted with this “homewrecker” that could barely speak English and was obviously whipped with as she phrased it, “Stevie’s beefcake.” While viewers mostly hated her, Joseline became more stylish and eventually won Stevie over for herself. She reversed her role and by her fifth season had become a fan favorite. Today, fans are split between loving and hating Joseline’s outspoken tantrums and broken English but she remains true to who she is. Her rise from a stripper, to side chick to the wife was responsible for many people dubbing 2014 the year of the side chick.
