Love is literally in the “Airs” at Nike for Valentine’s Day this year. Nike released more than four pairs of sneakers designed specifically for lovers to express the true meaning of “sole” mates. The collection ranges from classic Airmax to Huarache sneakers, and the prices are consumer friendly. Check out some of the features below, and send love in style.
Airmax 1
Designed by Tinker Hatfield, the Nike Air Max 1 is the godfather of all Airmax sneakers we see today. This sneaker goes down in history as the first shoe to ever include visible air pockets in the midsole. To celebrate love, Nike wants you to buy this special ’80s classic that features smooth patent leather accents, pink highlights and embroidered hearts on the heel and laces.
Vandal High
The Nike Vandal High Supreme QS hit the sneaker scene in 1985. This sneaker offers high-quality comfort through its adjustable ankle straps and foam midsoles. The high design body and soft interior of this sneaker make it great to style and walk in. This year Nike wants you to “step in the name of love” with this special Valentine’s Day edition sneaker. It features embroidered hearts on the heel, pink highlights, a leather swoosh and a full nylon upper-body.
Air Huarache
This fan favorite has a great chance of being the best seller in this collection. The Nike Air Huarache Run Ultra QS has an ultra-lightweight feature ideal for runners. In addition, its bulky midsoles provide a smooth feel when in motion. For this year’s love day, Nike has re-released this ’90s classic with special heart accents on the tongue, patent leather and satin on the upper body, and ribbon laces.
