Nicki Minaj wants her crown back.

Without meaning to, enchantress Nicki Minaj put Pink Barbie Nation on high alert when the social media siren suddenly got ghost from all of her internet platforms.

The machine-gun quick rap raven has not tweeted since the day after Christmas and had not been spotted on Instagram since she posted on December 30. Fans were getting hysterical with determining

Minaj’s whereabouts and learning the reason for the sudden cessation of activities on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

The feverish search for Minaj had gotten so bad that it prompted some of her most devoted (or demented) followers to create a ‘Finding Nicki’ website.

Fans of the “Moment 4 Life” femcee need not be worried because there is a very logical explanation why she’s been MIA for more than a month and a half.

The queen of Cash Money/Young Money has a laser-sharp focus on finishing up her upcoming album working on some brand new music. Minaj is so determined to make her best album yet that she does not want any more distractions from her social media platforms.

This could be because Minaj has not put out any new material in a long time. And it also could be the explosion in popularity of the likes of fellow female emcees Cardi B and “Love & Hip Hop: Miami” star Amara La Negra. Both women have signed multimillion-dollar, multi-album deals with major record companies within the past six months and have dominated the rap narrative as Minaj has retreated to the background. Even veteran vixens like Remy Ma and Trina have gotten more press these days due to their participation in the “Love & Hip Hop” reality shows, New York and Miami editions, respectively.

According to Page Six, Minaj’s self-imposed moratorium on Instagram and Twitter will last as it takes her to finish her album — and put out A-level material at that.

“Cardi B took over the scene and has been breaking all these records. Anyone in their right mind would be like, ‘I better step my game up.’ She wants to be on top. It’s friendly competition. It’s not a Remy Ma situation, but, Nicki definitely pays attention,” an insider told “Page Six TV.”

Sources told the entertainment publication that Minaj has already completed some of the cuts that will be featured on the new CD, which is reportedly scheduled to drop on the masses later this year.

The search for Minaj might have remained underground or at least among her most loyal fans, but the topic of her disappearance shot to the forefront of people’s radar when talk show host Wendy Williams launched a mock campaign to locate Minaj. The talk show host even made a fake missing person flyer.

It appears that a lot is riding on this upcoming project. Minaj has not put out a full album since her Pinkprint was released back in 2014, so her fans’ appetites have grown ravenous for new music from the slick-tongued rapper.

Minaj was featured on a few songs in 2017, including MotorSport and No Frauds. But fans and the industry pine for original cuts from Minaj. And it looks like she will deliver the good to them.

Stay tuned.
