“Timothy Crawford Jr. was a great man, a great brother, a great family man, great judge, great attorney, great friend, and a great person. May he rest, and have peace and joy. Just for the moment, here is our last time.” ~ Marilyn Crawford.
OUR LAST TIME
An ode to S. Timothy Crawford Jr., by Marilyn Crawford
Our last time.
All night long he was the MAN, everyone loved him. He was a social butterfly, having fun, enjoying the people, the people enjoying him, eating and then eating again, being spoiled by me and Loida’s staff. I love him and I miss him.Our last time.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE my brother S. Timothy Crawford Jr. aka Tim Jr.Our last time.
I walked him downstairs, got his coat for him, put it on him, hugged him tight, kissed him. And told him how great he looked.
He said, “You spoil me, baby you take such good care of me, you treat me too good.” I said, “You deserve this and don’t you forget it, stop running around and doing everything for everybody. You earned and deserve to be pampered. I love you.”
He said, “I love you too baby”.Our last time.
I called him an Uber. He was so relaxed, happy and peaceful. I said, “I love you, be careful”, and I made sure the driver knew exactly where to take him.
He said, “You stick with this, you are something. I really enjoyed tonight, man this is it.”I said, “I love you”.
He said, “I love you too baby”.
And the doorman closed his door and the driver drove away. You never know.
My brother died. But he lives. He lives through me. My heart is heavy, my spirit is dampened, my faith wavered for just a moment. The tears flowed and flowed and flowed. I don’t feel, I don’t think, I don’t know, but he lives, he lives through me. I find comfort in knowing, he is with mother and father. He is enjoying tennis, doing the splits, laughing with that huge smile, he is the MAN.
Tim Jr. I love you, I miss you so much. I miss just calling you to say I love you.
Love Marilyn
