CLEVELAND — A former McDonald’s manager is being accused of firing his gun at female customers who were trying to buy smoothies in the middle of the night in Northeast Ohio and accidentally sprayed water on the manager as they took off from the fast-food restaurant.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Mark Fort, 52. He has a thick rap sheet, but he is currently not in custody, records show.

According to the Cleveland police report, three women went through a McDonald’s drive-thru on a smoothie run but “accidentally” splashed water at the manager after purchasing their smoothie.

Fort was the manager on duty at the McDonald’s at the intersection of St. Clair Avenue and East 152nd Street in South Collinwood.

According to the testimony of the three women, they had just received their smoothie that was handed to them from the manager in question. The woman in the back had just opened her bottle of water as the car pulled off, inadvertently spraying water in the car and on the drive-thru window, which hit the McDonald’s manager.

As the car pulled away, the women said they heard Fort call them a “disrespectful name” followed by two gun shots.

There were no reported injuries. The women contacted authorities, the Cleveland Plain Dealer stated. Police quickly descended upon the scene and when interviewing McDonald’s employees, no one was able to say they saw or heard anything.

During the on-site investigation, one of the officers found a bullet hole near the driver’s tail light. When police went back to watch the surveillance footage, Fort claimed at the time that he did not have access to the security cameras that were situated above the drive-thru and would have cleared up the matter immediately as to what transpired.

Fort is accused of assault with a deadly weapon.

According to Cleveland.com, Fort already has eight prior convictions in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court, starting in 1984 and running all the way through 2009, includoing: carrying a concealed weapon; heaving a weapon as a felon; unlawful restraint; drug possession; attempted trespassing; and forgery.
