What does success mean to you?
Building on Maya Angelou –- Freedom. And that’s being the highest version of you and doing what you love with who you love.
Why did you choose this career path?
It chose me first and now I choose it every day because the work, the experience, connection, and impact with people lights up my soul.
Is there a specific segment of Black women you are targeting? If so, who?
Yes, women who are tired of doing too much by earning, proving, and justifying their right to live their vision and experiencing what they desire.
Why did you write this book?
To express something divine that was on my heart and to give women access to pure freedom. This book is about intention – the sum total of how you show up and experience the world around you. It puts the truth of how you’re showing up and creating your world front and center with options to shift it and have what you want. Once you see your truth and have options, you can own it and ownership is freedom.
If you could change anything in this world, what would it be?
What comes to me is giving women, children, and families exposure and immersion into broader and bigger experiences of life and themselves. That is what changed the trajectory of my life. I grew up in two opposite worlds of poverty and luxury and being immersed in both worlds created vision, desire, and willingness to create a life beyond what I knew.
