Rap sensation Cardi B just dropped the newest single from her upcoming debut album, Invasion Of Privacy, this week, and social media is flustered and flabbergasted over it.
Cardi’s latest song “Be Careful” has been well received by the music public and is rocketing up the charts.
However, there is one set of music fans who are not impressed. The Barbz, Nicki Minaj’s loyal fanbase, are, in fact, outraged:
The Barbz allegedly did some investigating and discovered a short video from 2017 of songwriter/producer Jordan Thorpe rapping the lyrics for “Be Careful,” word for word.
“Same exact beat, same exact lyrics. can you address why @lifeofthePARDI was already rapping ‘Be Careful’ on IG last year? @iamcardib,” someone tweeted.

“Cardi B’s ghostwriter forgot to delete the video of him rapping ‘Be Careful’ in the studio a year ago off his instagram lmao. Her own ghostwriter exposes her for not writing her music by accident im crying,” another fan wrote.
Jordan Thorpe is not a ghostwriter. The man is listed on the song’s credits as a writer along with more than a dozen other names. He is also a member of Cardi B’s team and works to further develop Cardi B’s unique sound and flavor.
Cardi is also catching grief from the Barbz for allegedly using a ghost writer to craft the lyrics for her hit records:
Nicki gets dragged for not writing her lyrics even though that allegation has been disproved by everyone who was accused of writing for Nicki. Cardi however publicly is exposed for not writing a single one of her singles and all of a sudden it’s “sToP tRyNa DrAg ThE qUeEn” 😂
