Black Twitter quickly pounced on the fact that hip-hop queen Nicki Minaj earned zero Grammy nominations for her interestingly titled album Queen.

Feverishly constructing her 2018 album in the shadow of archrival Cardi B’s meteoric rise in the music game, Minaj’s album was infamously delayed twice before she finally put it out in late summer.

When it finally dropped on August 10, Queen was loudly eclipsed by Travis Scott, who came out of nowhere to “steal” the No. 1 slot on the Billboard 200 albums charts from Minaj. Humiliated on an international scale and embittered, the Pink Barbz went on a long social media storm about how Scott allegedly cheated to get the necessary sales to snatch the top spot from her. And it has been a slow descent from greatness for the Cash Money princess ever since.

In fact, the album made so little noise this year that Minaj’s most famous moment of 2018 is her so-called brawl with Cardi at an upscale Manhattan event during New York Fashion Week.

Now that Onika Tanya Maraj, 36, of Trinidad and Tobago has been shut out entirely by the Grammy voting academy, social media wasted little time mocking the “Moment 4 Life” rapper.
