The right wing of the country is having a collective conniption after a conservative newspaper published photos of former first daughter Malia Obama living her best life in South Beach — as well as for allegedly participating in underage drinking and blasting the President of the United States on social media.
Obama, an Ivy League student like her parents, is on break from classes at Harvard University and bathing in the sun in Miami. However, the eldest Obama offspring caused an uproar after the Daily Mail reported that she was cloaked in a revealing swimsuit and sipping Whispering Angel rosé just months shy of her 21st birthday.
The British-based newspaper also uncovered an alleged secret Facebook page Obama used during her senior year in high school and the year she took off from classes before enrolling at Harvard. The Facebook page allegedly contains a series of anti-Trump posts.
According to the Daily Mail, Obama reportedly vented her true feelings about Donald Trump, expressing sentiments similar to those her mother has said about the 45th president. As you probably recall, former first lady Michelle Obama said she would never forgive the current president for engineering the “birther” debacle that questioned former President Barack Obama’s citizenship and birthplace. The Becoming author said the birther movement put her two children, Malia and Sasha, in danger.
The Facebook page that the Daily Mail referenced is operated under a pseudonym and hasn’t been publicly updated since 2017. The post also contains alleged comments from Joe Biden’s granddaughter, Finnegan Biden, co-signing Obama’s anti-Trump sentiments.
The cover photo for the page features a row of four pink Post-it notes that read:
“’Donald Trump is President,’ ‘This is not normal’, ‘Donald Trump is evil,’ ‘Don’t be complacent.’”
Finnegan Biden allegedly commented on the photo, writing:
“Never saw this. I like it.”
A couple of Malia Obama’s predecessors quickly came to her defense against her haters. Chelsea Clinton, daughter of Bill and Hillary Clinton, told the Daily Mail to back off private citizens minding their own business.
Malia Obama is a private citizen. No part of her life should be anyone’s clickbait.

Jenna Bush Hager, daughter of former President George W. Bush, quickly co-signed Clinton’s Twitter post.
Hesitant to add anything to such a nothing-story, but agree with @ChelseaClinton whole heartedly. Please don’t click on silly stories and let’s give Malia privacy. https://t.co/oRnKq1quPA

Both former first daughters know what it is like to be picked apart in the press for perceived shortcomings or engaging in minor adolescent delinquency. Bush Hager was once cited after being caught by police engaging in underage drinking in an off-campus bar during her college years.
