Like the Obamas, Shonda Rhimes has two degrees from elite colleges. She received her bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College in New Hampshire and earned her master’s of fine arts degree at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts near downtown Los Angeles.

Toni Morrison earned her master’s degree from Cornell University in 1955.

Sanaa Lathan earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of California-Berkeley, also known as “Cal” (listed as the 4th best university in the world by U.S. News & World Report), and also procured her master’s degree from Yale School of Drama.

Rashida Jones studied philosophy and religion at Harvard.

Barack and Michelle Obama are famous as two-time graduates from Ivy League schools. The former president graduated from Columbia University in 1983 and then Harvard Law in 1991. The former first lady graduated from Princeton University in 1985 and Harvard Law in 1988. Their eldest daughter, Malia, 20, currently attends Harvard University.
