R. Kelly is accusing his ex-wife, Andrea Kelly, of being far too comfortable divulging intimate details about their previous life together, despite agreeing in writing not to do so.

The “Bump N’ Grind” singer intimated in court that his ex-wife has learned that an R. Kelly scandal is a major revenue generator. He accuses Andrea Kelly of deliberately monetizing their troubled past, most particularly on the popular reality show “Growing Up Hip Hop” that she and her children joined this season.

“Drea has two strands of income – child support from R. Kelly and blasting R. Kelly publicly,” charges R. Kelly’s lawyer Steven Greenberg, according to TMZ.

Subsequently, Greenberg is requesting to the judge that Andrea Kelly be forced to adhere to a previous written agreement preventing her from disclosing “any account of their private lives, business activities, relationship with each other, marriage or circumstances surrounding the dissolution.”

In legal documents obtained by the entertainment publication, R. Kelly’s lawyer said he could have blasted open the floodgates on negative information about Andrea Kelly but has resisted, unlike Andrea Kelly who is eagerly spilling the tea on TV and in interviews.

“Kelly has not made one disparaging remark about Drea publicly – and there’s plenty he could say,” Greenberg told the judge, according to TMZ.

R. Kelly could say a lot, but can he withstand the withering blowback from his ex-wife or some of his alleged victims, not to mention the public for that matter. Robert Sylvester Kelly, 52, has been a remarkable unsympathetic figure ever since the explosive docu-series “Surviving R. Kelly” aired on the Lifetime channel on Jan. 3.
