Ford unveils its most powerful Mustang to date: The 2020 Shelby GT500

Ford is one of the oldest and most respected automotive companies in America. When Ford enthusiasts hear about a new release, they are eager to head to the nearest dealership, confident in the quality and reliability that the Ford name offers.

The brand lives up to its slogan “Built Ford Tough” with the arrival of the 2020 Ford Mustangs. On Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2019, Ford showcased some of its elite vehicles, including the new Ford Mustang EcoBoost, GT and Bullitt. However, the most exciting new model was the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500.

The new Ford Mustangs were on display for viewing and driving during a luncheon hosted by the Greater Atlanta Automotive Media Association at Atlanta’s Ray’s on the River. Guests at the luncheon had an opportunity to get a closer look at the featured vehicles, but the one that stood out the most was the Grabber Lime Ford Mustang Shelby GT500.

Described as the halo of Ford Mustangs, this new model has set the bar high for competitors to try to reach with features that include:

  • The most powerful production Mustang engine to date;
  • More than 700 horsepower;
  • 625 lb.-ft of torque;
  • 0-60 mph in less than three seconds;
  • A dual-clutch transmission capable of changing gears in less than 100 milliseconds;
  • No rear seat to save weight.

This new 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 combines innovation with technology and features 3-D print parts, making it nothing short of amazing.
