Fans of the family had to gather themselves together after Blue Ivy belted out “Brown Skin Girl” tunes.
Blue Ivy, 7, is listed as a writer and vocalist on the hit song “Brown Skin Girl,” and fans lost it during her solo at the end, which celebrates women and girls of color: “Brown skin girl / Your skin just like pearls / The best thing in the world / Never trade you for anybody else.”
Making the Gift is also being treasured by critics, as it features Queen Bey and Jay-Z with their two other children, twins Rumi and Sir, 2, who were heavily featured in the documentary.
Bey and Blue have had magical collaborations before. No one will soon forget Blue’s singing on the masterful documentary Homecoming, that was nominated for six Emmy Awards:
