Host, comedian, and actor Nick Cannon is headed to daytime TV.
Today, Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury announced a deal to have the multi-talented Cannon host a new, nationally syndicated daytime talk show next year.
The entertainer caught the attention of the media company who produces “The Wendy Williams Show” after he guest-hosted with the talk show phenom.
Debmar-Mercury co-presidents, Mort Marcus and Ira Bernstein spoke about the new deal.“

Cannon who is known for his fan-favorite MTV sketch show, “Wild ‘N Out” which has been on for 13 seasons also has had hosting experience on network TV.
He previously hosted two buzzworthy hit network series – FOX’s “The Masked
Singer,” and NBC’s talent competition “America’s Got Talent.”
Cannon shared that he’s always had dreams of his own talk show.
“After leaving ‘America’s Got Talent,’ I wanted to focus on developing my own talk show. I’ve always dreamed of a platform where I can speak to America and discuss pop culture, as well as the topics on everyone’s mind,” said Cannon. “When I had the opportunity to guest host at my good friend Wendy Williams’ show this year, I experienced the energy and excitement of a daytime talk show and instantly knew I found my audience.”
Cannon’s daytime talk show which will cover pop-culture, entertainment, celebrities and more will premiere next year. The show is set to be co-produced with his production company, Ncredible Entertainment.
