Young Dro gets jail time for smashing banana pudding in girlfriend’s face

Rapper Young Dro will have to spend some time in jail after using dessert as a weapon in domestic dispute. The “Shoulder Lean” rapper was sentenced for the dispute which took place at a home in Atlanta in July, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

During the dispute, Dro allegedly argued with his girlfriend over money and the two began throwing food at each other. Police said that Dro smashed a plate of banana pudding in his girlfriend’s face so hard that it left a bruise. The rapper also allegedly used a kitchen knife to rip furniture in the home.

Dro pled guilty to one count of battery or family violence. He was sentenced to 12 months behind bars, but only ordered to serve 70 days. However, Dro will get credit for 20 days already served and could possibly get out of jail during the first week of October. He will remain on probation and must undergo domestic violence counseling and stay away from drugs and alcohol following his release. Dro will also have to take random drug tests and forfeit all of his weapons.A long-time friend and business associate of T.I., Dro has released hit songs such as “FDB,” and “We in da City.”
