Whitehead fired back at Fox with what the team called unacceptable tweets:
“Come get it in blood b— made a– lil boy. I’m out there with a broke hand.. don’t get smoked f— a– c——,” wrote Whitehead.
To another Twitter user, Whitehead said, “Imma kill you b—-.. that’s on blood.”
Whitehead also dared Fox to come to his house and settle their difference in person. He even posted his address on Twitter.
Twitter, in response, immediately suspended Whitehead’s account and the team released a statement after it became aware of his postings.
“Jermaine Whitehead’s social media posts following today’s game were totally unacceptable and highly inappropriate,” the statement read on the Browns’ website. “We immediately spoke with Jermaine upon learning of these comments. The Browns in no way condone that type of language or behavior. This matter will be further addressed internally.”
On Monday morning, the team announced that Whitehead had been waived from the team:
