Atlanta Falcons
The Atlanta Falcons are the underachievers of 2019. A team that was projected to fight for a playoff spot is only 2-7 this season. Although former NFL MVP Matt Ryan still serves as the team’s leader, adding Kaepernick could give the Falcons the dual threat at quarterback that they need. Also, Atlanta is the home of dozens of murals that were painted by local artists to honor Kaepernick.
Chicago Bears
The Bears have one of the NFL’s best defenses, but the lackluster offense has caused the team to fall out of playoff contention. Mitchell Trubisky continues to be one of the NFL’s worse quarterbacks with a passer rating of only 85.2. Kaepernick could help the Bears’ offense as they make a final push for the playoffs.
Cincinnati Bengals
The Cincinnati Bengals are so bad that there are probably highly ranked college teams that could defeat them in a game. The team is currently 0-9, and starting quarterback Andy Dalton currently has a passing rating of 79.2. Kaepernick may not be too pleased about playing in Ohio, but he would have an opportunity to get back to the game he loves.
Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins are another horrific team in need of help. At 2-7, the Dolphins are playing for exercise. Ryan Fitzpatrick continues to be a below-average quarterback one year after breaking records during his time with the Tampa Bay Bucs in 2018. Miami is a city that would embrace Kapernick’s journey.
