Mo'Nique sues Netflix for racial and sexual discrimination

Mo’Nique has decided to take Netflix to court.

The Oscar-winning actress has often voiced her displeasure with the streaming service in interviews and on social media and once called for a boycott.


But now Mo’Nique is seeking to fight through litigation, according to a lawsuit obtained by TMZ.

In the lawsuit, Mo’Nique says that Netflix practiced race-based discrimination when it negotiated her comedy special. She says Netflix offered Amy Schumer $11 million for an hourlong stand-up special, and she eventually got $13 million.


However, Mo’Nique says she was only offered $500,000 for her stand-up special.
