“Married to Medicine” star Quad Webb conveyed she was horrified when her so-called close friend, Dr. Heavenly Kimes, said that Webb once slept with rap legend Common.
Webb said the moment, unveiled during the latest episode of “Married to Medicine” latest episode, was particularly cringe-worthy since Common is known to currently be in a romantic relationship with CNN political analyst Angela Rye.
In a statement to BET.com, Webb vehemently denied that she has ever even had a personal conversation with Common, much less had an opportunity to formulate any type of relationship with the Chicago-born rapper.
“Rumors get started when a person wants to think more about the ratings and less about loyalty and friendship. I don’t know why she [Dr. Heavenly] would jeopardize our friendship for entertainment purposes; everything is not a joke,” she said.
“I don’t know Common, I don’t have his phone number, and we have never shared the same space. I met him once during an interview with Sister’s Circle. This was a very professional setting, and I take my career very seriously. I do not use it as a dating ground,” she added.
Webb also noted that Common seems to be happy with another woman and doesn’t want to see that tainted by unsubstantiated innuendos.
