The entire ordeal began when King interviewed Lisa Leslie on “CBS This Morning” after Bryant’s death. King asked if a 2003 criminal case brought by a woman against Bryant would tarnish his legacy. While King continued to press Leslie on the topic, Leslie remained calm, saying, “I just never have ever seen him being the kind of person that would do something to violate a woman or be aggressive in that way. That’s just not the person that I know.”
Snoop Dogg responded by lashing out at King on social media and claiming that she and Oprah have an agenda to destroy Black men and called her the b-word.
Snoop would later apologize and King accepted.
