Talk about the importance of radio during this pandemic.
Dizz: During this pandemic all media plays a role in how information is put out there but again balance is important. Sometimes too much bad news can stress people or cause panic and sometimes you need an escape. A good song or a good story can change the mindset of somebody who might be feeling worn down.
What can people expect from the new podcast?
Dizz: It will of take you back through 20 plus years of Chicago radio but also reintroduce the world to an older more mature Mike Love and Dizz. We speak on everything from entertainment [and] sports, [to] relationships [and] business.
Where do you see radio in the next 10 years?
Dizz: There will always be a place in this world for radio but the future has shown us options. Whatever you are looking for, the digital world can give it to you instantly. The days of waiting for your favorite artist or song to come on at a certain time are dead. All the new digital platforms and social media outlets consumers want fresh content on demand.
ML: Life today is digital, it’s on demand, it’s now more specific like Netflix, HULU, Spotify or a podcast.
