Signs that your man is a mama’s boy

Here are signs that you have a mama’s boy:

-The infamous “this-is-how-mama-does-it” comparisons will piss a sista off faster than anything. I don’t want to hear what your momma did and how she did it.

-He tells her everything. As soon as you’ve communicated your desires, the words can’t leave your mouth fast enough before he’s on the phone with her.

-He still lives at home. Yeah, I know people fall on hard times, but if he ain’t never left the house, then there’s a problem.

-He’s her emotional crutch. Every crisis she has turns into a full-blown meltdown. He’s her confidante and best friend.

Yes, we crave love from our men and desire sensitivity and thoughtfulness that can come from a mama’s boy. But if he idolizes her and expects you to be just like her, it’s time for you to step.

Relationships are about a team, which doesn’t include his mother as the plus-one.

Nothing out of the ordinary; unless you count trying to juggle a career with a family. I'm that woman that has failed more times than she cares to count, but consciously decided to say what the he--; let me try it AGAIN! I proudly proclaim that I’m 40 something and a happily married woman (I’m not bragging but I’m on my third marriage) with three beautiful children. I can scream from the mountaintop that I finally got it RIGHT! I’ve kissed quite a few frogs to get to my Prince Charming. I plan on discussing all topics, the good-the bad and the ugly related to navigating through life’s obstacles and road blocks into building and keeping successful relationships while trying to maintain your sanity.
