Here are signs that you have a mama’s boy:
-The infamous “this-is-how-mama-does-it” comparisons will piss a sista off faster than anything. I don’t want to hear what your momma did and how she did it.
-He tells her everything. As soon as you’ve communicated your desires, the words can’t leave your mouth fast enough before he’s on the phone with her.
-He still lives at home. Yeah, I know people fall on hard times, but if he ain’t never left the house, then there’s a problem.
-He’s her emotional crutch. Every crisis she has turns into a full-blown meltdown. He’s her confidante and best friend.
Yes, we crave love from our men and desire sensitivity and thoughtfulness that can come from a mama’s boy. But if he idolizes her and expects you to be just like her, it’s time for you to step.
Relationships are about a team, which doesn’t include his mother as the plus-one.
