Did you have to tap into your inner gamer, or have you always been a part of the gaming community?
I wasn’t familiar with “Monster Hunter” originally. I had no idea how big this game is. I really was looking at the kinds of [different] monsters and what happens in the game and researching the fanbase.
I was really excited to be apart of something like this. I love the sci-fi world and the gamer world. I think that this game aesthetically is done really well and beautifully. I’m excited for the fanbase to see it.
This movie’s theme, survival and teamwork, could be applied to real life. What did you learn about survival and teamwork in 2020?
I think it’s really about coming together for one common cause. I think it’s interesting because the country has never been more overtly and obviously divided. It’s also never been so overtly and obviously connected.
I think the biggest thing for me is that God has allowed this season, and [for me it means] focusing on what I’m supposed to be getting out of it and how I’m supposed to be learning and growing.
