To all the single ladies: How to survive Valentine’s Day

To all the single ladies: How to survive Valentine's Day

So, if you’re trying to plan your Valentine’s Day, here are some ideas:

Host a game night. While we are still battling COVID-19, you can even gather in person or virtually with close friends and do an old-fashioned game night.

Have a movie night. Netflix and Hulu have an abundance of movies that will touch your heart while being entertaining.

Exchange gifts with your besties. Treat your girls! They’ve been there through all the drama of your relationships. They deserve to be celebrated.

Host a paint night. Identify a spot where you can let your creative juices flow. Don’t forget the wine!

Have a sleepover. What’s more fun than a pajama party? Recreate your scene from Waiting to Exhale.

Cook a gourmet meal. You’ve hit up Doordash more times than you care to count, so it’s time for you to tap into your inner chef and prepare a home-cooked meal.

Have a spa day. Pamper yourself by doing something that makes you feel good.

Just do you. Make V-Day your day. Since it’s all about you, decide what brings you contentment. Remember, you’re the special someone.

Retail therapy. Nothing makes you feel better than a new pair of shoes or an outfit. Hit up your favorite online retail store, pull out that card and have fun.

Whether you’re spending this day alone or with friends, self-love is most important. I wish you love on this day and every day beyond!

Writing is my passion but being a mother and wife are definitely important too. I decided to start a blog that represented everyday women just trying to cope doing average sh--. Nothing out of the ordinary; unless you count trying to juggle a career with a family. I'm that woman that has failed more times than she cares to count, but consciously decided to say what the he--; let me try it AGAIN! I proudly proclaim that I’m 40 something and a happily married woman (I’m not bragging but I’m on my third marriage) with three beautiful children. I can scream from the mountaintop that I finally got it RIGHT! I’ve kissed quite a few frogs to get to my Prince Charming. I plan on discussing all topics, the good-the bad and the ugly related to navigating through life’s obstacles and road blocks into building and keeping successful relationships while trying to maintain your sanity. No taboo topics here.
