Bobby Shmurda is a free man, and no one is probably happier than his mother. On Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2012, TMZ released a clip of the “Hood N—-” rapper’s FaceTime call with his mom, Leslie Pollard. In the video, the ecstatic rapper spoke with his mother as others could be heard yelling and cheering in the background. She could be heard telling her son how much she loves him as he blew kisses to her through the phone.

The rapper’s viral FaceTime call with his mom came one day after he released a statement on Instagram. On Monday, Shmurda uploaded a visual to explain why he opted to create a new Instagram account. According to the rapper, his last account was hacked, so his team recommended he set up a new one. He also thanked his fans for their loyalty throughout his incarceration.

“My team created this Instagram page after my original page was hacked, but thanks to my dedicated fans I managed to get my page verified and also 1M followers without ever being active on this page,” he wrote. “Thank you for remaining loyal and for riding this six-year sentence out with me. I love you all and look forward to seeing you soon. Sincerely, Bod boy Bobb ah ahh ahhh.”
