Finn Partners announced that senior partner Helen Shelton, long-time FINN executive and a key architect, advisor, and leader of the firm’s diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, has been appointed as global chief diversity officer.
In this new role, Shelton will continue directing Actions Speak Louder, the agency’s global DEI initiative, credited with helping FINN achieve a 22% diversity rate and multiple standard-bearing recruitment initiatives, with a goal towards a minimum of 30% by 2023. She will continue counseling clients on effective DEI strategies, including external and internal communications, impactful alliances, and recruitment, civic engagement, and volunteerism.
Shelton has a long history leading DEI efforts for FINN, including:
- Creation of a 90+ person global DEI committee made up of all-FINN volunteers, who are helping advance key initiatives globally
- Forging alliances and partnerships with more than 20 equality and social justice organizations around the world
- Launching a FINN employee-matching donation with social justice and equality partners
- Founded and continues to oversee Culture Conversations, a popular FINN webinar series featuring candid discussions with notable figures on the frontlines in the fight for equal justice and eradicating health disparities, among other movements
