The fatal combination of powerful prescription drugs found in the system of Bobby Brown Jr., son of famed singer Bobby Brown, has triggered a criminal investigation, according to media reports.

Bobby Brown Jr. reportedly had consumed the highly addictive Percocet along with cocaine and alcohol at about the same time, a toxicology report revealed, according to TMZ. He was found dead in November 2020, making this the second child of Bobby Brown to die during a drug-related episode.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroners’s office found traces of the potent drug fentanyl in his system, which cocaine is often mixed with by dealers because its highly addictive properties ensure repeat business.

The LAPD has turned over the investigation to the LA County District Attorney’s Office to see if there is sufficient evidence gathered to prosecute those associated with Bobby Brown Jr.’s death.

This was the latest of a series of catastrophic endings for three people directly related to the elder Brown. His ex-wife, legendary singer Whitney Houston, also died from drowning in her bathtub shortly after consuming cocaine mixed with alcohol on the eve of the Grammys in nearby Beverly Hills in February 2012.

Fans were really spooked when Brown’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina, died in an eerily similar manner as her iconic mother. Bobbi Kristina was found face down in a bathtub after consuming drugs in metro Atlanta in January 2015.
