Ruff Ryders’ in-house producers consisted of Dame Grease, PK and a young Swizz Beatz, so it’s understandable why he wanted his own production talent to shine. Dee also told New York’s FOX 5 News that DMX had completed a new album, which was scheduled to drop this summer, although those plans have now been altered a bit.
The rapper and actor will be remembered on Saturday, April 24, during a memorial service at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. The family also gave an update, confirming that there will not be a public viewing for the Yonkers MC and that the memorials will be limited to family members and friends. The “Celebration of Life” for DMX will air Saturday at 4 p.m. on YouTube. His homegoing celebration will air live on BET on Sunday, April 25.
