Based on your first book blot, do you foresee writing more books with Christopher Aiden?
The next Christopher Aiden mystery will be available in August. Aiden investigates the murder of a White professor on an HBCU campus.
What advice can you offer to others who want to write?
Procrastination is a virus. My advice to first-time writers is to get started and finish. Then get started again. I wasted 13 years thinking when I should have been writing and developing my skills.
What does literary success look like to you?
Literary success for me is if one of my four sons said, “Dad, I want to be a writer when I grow up.” Of course, if the book is successful, I will feel great, but if not, it won’t discourage me from writing my stories.
