Charlamagne Tha God has been with his wife Jessica Gadsden for over twenty years. The loving couple officially tied the knot in 2014. The Breakfast Club star recently praised his wife who he has three daughters with and explained why he’d never have her sign a prenuptial agreement.
“I don’t have a prenup because me and my wife have been together for twenty-three years. Literally, the first time I ever went to a radio station to fill out an application for an internship, my wife drove me because my license was suspended. When I was getting fired from radio, four times, she was the one going to work every day and paying the bills. When we were getting evicted, she was the one going down to the courthouse, explaining to the judge why we couldn’t get evicted. What the f— I look like doing a prenup?” he said in the video clip that surfaced on the Internet.
The outspoken talk show host and his wife have been sweethearts since high school. Charlamagne Tha God emphasized that the couple is happy and divorce talk is no where on table.
“We’re never getting a divorce by the way. I don’t even got to knock on wood. Ain’t happening. My wife is the CEO of our house, but also literally we came up as kids. She literally drove me to the radio station in 1999 to fill out internship papers,” he continued.
Charlamagne also revealed that his oldest daughter was the one who made him finally pop the question to Gadsden.
“You have to show your kids love. That’s one of the reasons why I wanted to get married. When you have your 7-year-old daughter asking why you and mommy don’t have the same last name, that affects you as a man,” the entertainer born Lenard McKelvey added.
