Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens shares plans for 1st 100 days in office

The National Black MBA Association hosted their state of the chapter address for Atlanta on Jan. 24, 2022, and Mayor Andre Dickens was a guest speaker.


Dickens is 22 days in as the mayor, and he shared his plans for his first 100 days in office to improve the city of Atlanta. He first touched on improving public safety and crime.


“We’re gonna hire 250 officers this year,” Dickens said at the event. “And that’s just to get us to where we need to be. This isn’t additional officers. This is just hiring what we have committed to ours already in the budget, we have just been aggressive going about our human resources apparatus and our recruitment apparatus a lot differently and better.”

Dickens continued to talk about his goals for the youth, crime and education.
