Kodak Black explained why he had to publicly apologize to a pair of female rappers on a recent Instagram Live.

“Me and baby, all kind of s— happened behind the scenes,” Black said.. “That’s why I went public saying, ‘Oh, my bad. To [Yung] Miami, I said like, ‘I apologize.’ The same s— with Dream[Doll], like I struck a nerve with her back then. Basically I told her, like with any other chick, basically y’all got to let me smash, ya heard, because the music a little trash.”

The 24-year-old Florida native, who was reportedly released from the hospital after getting shot at a Justin Bieber after-party during Super Bowl Weekend, continued to explain his rationale.

“You ain’t finna come over here and get what you want, and I don’t get me none,” Black said. “What about me? What about what ‘Yak want?”

Black’s single “Super Gremlin” recently hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart.
