Kenny Rock has penned a deal with Celebrity Boxing founder Damon Feldman for a match in Florida this summer, and he would love to go up against the actor, who took to the stage at the Oscars and slapped Chris Rock after the comedian made a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.

When asked if he thinks Chris and Will should get in the ring together, Kenny said: “No, they shouldn’t. But I should get in the ring with Will Smith.”

Quizzed on whether Kenny thinks he could “take Will down,” he said, “Yes, yes.”

Kenny admitted Chris is “doing great” since being whacked by Will at the Academy Awards, but he doesn’t think the star has accepted Smith’s apology. Asked how Chris is doing, Kenny replied, “He’s doing great. I haven’t seen him, but we’ve talked.”

Quizzed about whether Chris has accepted Will’s Instagram apology, Kenny said, “I doubt it very seriously.”

Earlier this month, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences banned Smith from the Oscars for 10 years following the incident. But Kenny hopes the Academy will stay true to the ban and not let Smith return to the Oscars before the 10 years are up.

“We have to see if he’s actually going to get the 10-year ban,” he told to TMZ. “They might say a 10-year ban and after three years they’ll think we may have forgotten about it and they’ll slide him in there after two years, three years, five years. So we have to make sure these people do what they say they’re going to do.”

The incident came about after Chris poked fun at Jada Smith – who suffers from alopecia – for having a shaven head, comparing her hair to actress Demi Moore’s shaven head in the 1997 movie G.I. Jane.

“Jada, love ya. G.I. Jane 2, can’t wait to see it,” the Oscar host joked. Will Smith – who received the Best Actor Oscar just minutes later for King Richard – laughed at first, but Jada looked unimpressed and the actor then strode onto the stage, slapped the comedian, and walked away.

A shocked Chris said, “Oh Wow. Will Smith just smacked the s— out of me.” Smith then shouted from his seat, “Take my wife’s name out of your f—— mouth.” To which Chris responded, “Wow dude. It was a ‘G.I. Jane’ joke.”

The Men in Black actor then repeated, “Keep my wife’s name out of your f—— mouth.”

Smith has since said sorry to Chris via Instagram, insisting the incident was “not indicative of the man I want to be.”
