Tragedy has struck the family of Metro Boomin.
The superstar producer’s mother, Leslie Joanne Wayne, has died in a murder-suicide after her husband killed her before killing himself on June 3. Wayne’s partner is still unidentified, according to “TMZ,” but he is not Metro Boomin’s biological father.
The “Savage Mode” series producer has shouted out to his mother throughout the years of his career on social media, including the time he was accepted into Morehouse in 2012.

“TMZ” reported Metro Boomin found out the news once the police found her body near the Atlanta area.
The producer has recently been vocal on social media advocating for the release of frequent collaborators Gunna and Young Thug, who are currently behind bars in a Georgia RICO case. His last Instagram post was on May 14, when he paid his respects to Lil Keed.
“Prayers up for Metro Boomin,” Juicy J tweeted.
“I remember reading that Metro Boomin’s mom used to drive him from St. Louis to Atlanta week after week when he was a teenager so he could work with OJ Da Juiceman,” Junior Maruwa tweeted.
“Prayers and condolences to Metro Boomin and his entire family,” Karen Civil tweeted.
