Amazon drops trailer for ‘Untrapped: The Story of Lil Baby’

The documentary hits Amazon Prime on August 26th.

Amazon and Lil Baby recently dropped the trailer for a new documentary on the rapper’s life titled Untrapped: The Story of Lil Baby.

Directed by Karam Gill, the film chronicles the hip-hop star’s ascension from someone who scoffed at the idea of rapping, to now being recognized as a leader of his generation in the rap game.

Even Drake recognizes his potential and superior ability. The trailer shows the mega superstar heaping praise on Lil Baby.

The documentary tells the real story behind all of the fame and glamor we see in Lil Baby’s public life. Going through the prison system exposed the rapper to what he feels is a broken system. This feeling motivated him to transcend that system, and become an artist, “with something to say and people to stand for,” as he says in the trailer.

The film debuted at Tribeca Film Festival earlier this year. It will be released on Amazon Prime on Aug. 26, 2022.
