On the morning of July 27, LaGrange, Georgia, police officers discovered the body of a pregnant woman. She appeared to have been stabbed to death. According to a news release, the woman was identified as 26-year-old Breanna Burgess.
A GoFundMe page was created to raise funds for the funeral and said that Burgess had three children, with another on the way.
“The unborn baby did not survive,” the GoFundMe page read. “She didn’t deserve this and this was the last thing we expected to happen. We are left to take care of her funeral and the kids left behind.”
Two suspects have been taken into custody, and face murder and feticide charges. Investigators believe that Burgess was targeted and that she’s known the suspects for several years.
Burgess’ body will be sent to the GBI for an autopsy.
