The New York County judge in the Jonathan Majors, domestic violence trial released a trove of video, photo, and audio evidence that could be prejudicial in the court of public opinion.

Some have remarked that the voluminous evidence exonerates the 34-year-old Creed III actor because the video shows irrefutably that Majors was running from ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari. She is also seen running after him for several blocks in New York’s Chinatown in March 2023.

Others, however, may be swayed by the damning phone conversations and texts that Jabbari recorded over the two years of their relationship. The call has been characterized as disconcerting and “jerky” by “TMZ” because Majors calls himself “a great man” repeatedly and tells Jabbari, a 30-year-old White British woman, to curtail her drinking and partying and comport herself more like Michelle Obama and Coretta Scott King.

The text messages, which are not relevant to the case because they took place years ago, nevertheless indicate that domestic violence may have taken place in the past. Jabbari – a British dancer and movement coach – and Majors seemingly indicate that he hurt her in some fashion and that she was trying to configure a story to tell the hospital staff.

Regardless of whether he is found guilty or not, his Hollywood career is considered imperiled. But social media is mostly siding with Majors’ exoneration in this particular case based on the evidence released to the public.
